The Asterina project is developing fault-tolerant service for the wide-area applications, such as wide-area master-worker applications.
The goal of this project is to design and implement protocols, which can provide robust and efficient service for Grid applications. We also would like to understand the impact of using the tools, like wide-area group communications, in constructing a wide-area framework for the Grid systems, such as GriPhyN.
