I am a PhD student in the Systems and Networking group at the UC San Diego Computer Science and Engineering department. My advisor is Prof. Alex Snoeren. My current research goal is to enable active networking on programmable switches and fair sharing of switch hardware resources among active programs.

In the past, I have worked on the RotorNet project and datacenter fault detection at UCSD. Prior to joining UCSD, I was a part of the PinDrop project at Microsoft Research India where I worked on improving quality of service of real-time streaming applications in the context of Wide-Area Networks (WAN) and Wi-Fi networks. During my Masters program at IIT Kanpur, I worked on building educational technologies to help improve programming language education in University programs.

I am building an active networking system which uses programmable switches to run programs encoded inside network packets. Our prototype runtime written using the P4 programming language, is designed to run on a Barefoot Tofino switch ASIC. An agent running on the switch CPU manages memory and bandwidth across active programs sharing the switch.
